Following preview runs at the Southwark Playhouse, the production officially opened to the press and public with a four-week run prior to touring in London and throughout the country featuring two separate casts, drawn from The Godot Company, performing in repertoire.
The Godot Company is a new actors’ co-operative, exclusively dedicated to performing the works of Samuel Beckett. This is their debut production.
Co-founder of The Godot Company, publisher John Calder has published in the UK most of the works of Samuel Beckett. Since he founded his publishing house in 1949, Calder has published some of the best of contemporary British and international dramatists, as well as works by such writers as Henry Miller and William Burroughs.
