About The Play

Many years ago, in Israel, Itai Erdal’s eight-year-old nephew came home from school with an empty box to be filled with presents for soldiers at the front.

Inside the box, the boy's teacher had written: 'To the soldiers of today from the soldiers of tomorrow.’

 That ‘tomorrow’ has come.

A former conscript soldier in the Israeli Defense Force (IDF), Itai Erdal, accompanied by Syrian born musician Emad Armoush, tells the true story of his military service…

Itai Erdal says 'Soldiers of Tomorrow is a frank and profoundly personal insight into the Arab-Israeli conflict, the occupation of Palestine and the conditions that led to the Gaza genocide. Since its original run in 2023, it has been nearly impossible to find a theatre brave enough to present the play, and I am glad to be able to finally bring the show back to the UK at the ever-courageous Finborough Theatre.'

Every performance will be followed by a post-show discussion.
