Press Info
Thea has left everything behind to move to Earl's court. Rob already lives there, collecting on the street for Amnesty, but has had enough and wants to leave. As old friends let them down, loved ones are abandoned, charities make profits and strangers stop to help, they begin to question their own ideals and to explore the real value of benevolence.

Earls Court Festival showcases two short plays by the Response Earls Court Drama Group that explore themes of benevolence through diverse narratives set in the city.

About The Event

About The Play

Earls Court Festival presents two short plays about benevolence.

Bringing together people from a diversity of backgrounds and levels of experience, the Response Earls Court Drama Group has focused on working together to create a piece of work reflective of the city and the area that we live in. The two places shown today have been created, written and rehearsed within the course of the programme, exploing ideas and theories of staging and performance along the way. With one play starting on the pavement outside Earls Court Tube station, and the other tracking a woman’s first journey to London, we hope these plays will be a revealing and entertaining examination of the city, and its ideas benevolence and charity.
