Tracey Coles was born in Australia. She has managed several restaurants and retail food outlets in London, including The Ebury, The Chocolate Society and the Brompton Quarter Grocer in London – as well as running a residential Cooking school in France for three years. We will be running half day cooking courses in the near future.
Tracey Coles says: “ We have a new name, a new style and a new attitude.
You can still get a great pint, respectfully cellared, but you will also be able to have fantastic food, well chosen wines, good coffee and warm knowledgeable service.
We will draw our inspiration from our combined experience of working in some of the top restaurants in London and New York and cooking and teaching in France.
The kitchen will be focused on making flavoursome food above all else, not played with or overly fussed over, offered at reasonable prices. Our key words are fresh, seasonal, organic, and indulgent.
The wine list, an equal passion of ours, will be extremely user friendly and have many wines available by the glass."
Joseph Lahey hails from New York but has lived and worked all over the world including the Gramercy Tavern, New York; the Paddington Inn, Sydney; and Noble Rot, London. Joseph is our wine guru – he can give you great advice about food and wine matching. We will be running wine appreciation events in the coming months.
